Accounting Manager

Description International SOS has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager.  In this role, you will be responsible for proper recording of transactions and maintenance of the General Ledger, Accounting Systems controls, Policies and Procedures as well as Internal Controls.  All of this must be performed in adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Government Regulations including Cost Accounting Standards "CAS" and Federal Acquisitions Regulations "FAR."     The Regional Accounting Manager will also be relied on to provide objective feedback about departmental needs. We are seeking a talented professional with a drive for excellence, strong capabilities to adapt to and lead change and an independent worker who can also work well as part of a team.  The right candidate is able to work well under pressure, deliver results and observe deadlines.  Responsibilities: Ensure timely, accurate and complete recording transactions, to include P&L, as well as Balance Sheet review and account reconciliations     Own the end of month and year process Lead efforts on support of year end financial and taxaudits, as well as pricing review   Work closely with FP&A team and provide timely reporting and details of actual budget and forecast comparison and analysis Ensure compliance to General Affairs Policy and Procedures (GAPP) Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as local accounting and standards Maintain Government compliant accounting system and processes Support efforts for Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits and resolution of DCAA findings Continuously review processes to maximize efficiency Support CFO Government Services with identification, documentation, development and implementation of policies and procedures and processes to mitigate key compliance risks Qualifications/Experience Bachelor of Accounting Finance or related field CPA or MBA Preferred 3+ years proven working experience in Accounting preferably in a Senior role Proven experience with reporting tools Strong leadership skills.  Ability to inspire others     Experience managing a team not necessary but preferred.    Skills / Knowledge Good communication skills are key Solid understanding of software packages Ability to communicate with and influence people at various levels within the organization URM #: 19733

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
