Associate Manager, Environmental Affairs & Safety (Mid-Shift 10am-7pm) in Trevose, Pennsylvania Associate Manager, Environmental Affairs & Safety (Mid-Shift 10am-7pm) Brand: Est e Lauder Companies Description Position Summary This position is part of a team responsible for Environmental, Health, Safety, and Transportation of Hazardous Material activities at a major complex of facilities or manages a program area as a member of the Global safety or environmental teams. Key Roles & Responsibilities Develops andimplements EHS programs as necessary to ensure compliance, meet standards ofthe company ESMS, and positive movement against EHS KPI's. Works with EAS colleaguesas well as business partners to implement programs at multiple sites (GlobalEAS staff) or to target needs at their assigned site (site EAS staff). Participates asa member conducting internal audits or participates as a member of a site beingaudited.Assists with follow up andclosure of actions items from audits. Conducts surveysof site operations and provides detailed recommendations for hazard eliminationor control with limited supervision. Develops anddelivers assigned environmental, health and safety training. Update training inresponse to new legal requirements or changes at the sites; helps ensuretraining is relevant for the site(s). May approvetrainers and their training materials prior to them providing legal and otherrequirements training. Assists in thepreparation of performance reports either individually for their site (as siteEAS staff) or collectively as member of the Global EAS staff. Reviewsinformation sources for new and/or changes to existing relevant laws, rules andregulations, and notifies management as appropriate.Reviews capital projects for environmentaland safety impact, and advises project team leaders as appropriate.May participate as a member of a capitalproject team. May participatein and respond to regulatory inquiries and inspections of an environmental,health, safety nature or transportation of hazardous materials withsupport andsupervision. Providestechnical expertise to site management and/or advises EAS colleagues in EHSareas to ensure compliance with regulations and the implementation of programs targetedtowards the prevention of injuries and the reduction of our environmentalfootprint. Supports theHazardous Material Transportation Program maintained by the Traffic, Export andor distribution department. Manages thepermitting process through the timely processing of all requiredpermits withlimited supervision. Support andprovide coaching to employee-led teams such as Safety Committees, Green Teams,and Behavior-Based Safety Teams. Maintainscompetency and stays current in the profession of Environmental, Health,Safety, and the Transportation of Hazardous Materials. Participates as a member of a Global Process Owner (GPO) groupfocused on a particular program area to drive enhancements and consistencyacross ELC. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Safety Science, or Bachelors in Engineering or other Science/Technology. with 5 years' experience in the field of Environmental Affairs, or Safety, or Health, or Transportation of Hazardous Materials. 3-5 years experience in the area of environmental, safety, or industrial hygiene - preferably in manufacturing operations Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team in diverse workenvironments from manufacturing, distribution, labs, offices and retail. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to adjust communication style based on the situation and the audience. Knows and uses fundamental and some advanced concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Ability to understand and communicate technical environmental and safety requirements to both EAS staff and our business partners. Generally part of an EAS staff with direct oversight but need the ability towork independently with limited supervision. Ability to implement tested concepts is required. Self-motivation, ingenuity and ability to drive best practice thinking is needed Fluent in MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point applications. Prefer if either hold Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or similar designations, or be working towards such certification. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
