Description International SOS has an exciting opportunity for a Product Research Manager.  The Product Research Manager will perform thorough market research and competitive analysis to develop differentiated positioning and successfully convey client market needs.  Conducts and utilizes market and competitive analysis & segmentation, such as web research, customer interviews and analyst briefings to identify the best opportunities to grow addressable market and market share. Gathers existing behavioral data available from products, analyzes and enhances it with other data points. Contributes to product roadmaps with an understanding of market trends, voice of customer, competitive environment and near-term priorities. What are you waiting for? Show the world what you are made of! Responsibilities: 1. Competitive Analysis:  Conduct competitive analysis determining strengths, opportunities and weaknesses. Determine the competitive landscape, understand market share, price & packaging and differentiators. Use desktop research and other sources to monitor the competitive landscape at a corporate and product level. Gain a full understanding of who are the top competitors, who are the niche players, defining the competitive landscape with breakout for capabilities, solutions and services. Ongoing monitoring of the competitive landscape. Regularly providing a snapshot of the competitive landscape (including trends) with implications for the business. Stay at the fore front of industry trends and competitive positioning to deliver regular competitive analysis and recommendations for the Product team. Perform thorough market research and competitive analysis to develop differentiated positioning and successfully convey client market needs. Gather competitive intelligence from multiple sources including primary & secondary research  and by engaging with sales for feedback.  2. Market Analysis:  Conduct and manage primary and secondary market research to inform strategy and business decisions for existing portfolio and new innovations. Monitor and analyze market dynamics and trends to determine implications to the business. Conduct market analysis detailing: market sizing, growth rate (CAGR) and barriers to entry Understand market problems, trends and drivers. Develop a market definition. Translate market research findings into concise and actionable insights. Understand market trends outside of Travel Risk Management (TRM) space that are or will impact the space (e.g. technology industry). Use desktop research and industry publications to understand trends and behaviors to determine best opportunities for growth. Determine best research methodology for effective execution of agenda. Help link insights to action and aid in the assessment of new product feasibility. Ability to identify relevant emergent threats and innovation opportunities, articulate business risks and provide actionable recommendations 3. User Research Customer Focus: Own the user experience research process; design, recruit, schedule and moderate usability studies, user interviews, etc... Oversee and manage all aspects of the research process from idea generation through to execution. Serve as the advocate and voice of the customer in product development. Clearly understand client needs, behaviors, motivations, frustrations and pain points and activate that understanding to enable externally focused business choices; uncover, interpret, and champion client insights to enable brand strategies, communication and marketing plans. Develop Persona definitions detailing tasks, goals, motivations, frustrations and pain points to show empathy for the client's perspective. Interacts with customers frequently and understands their use cases and business in great depth. Conduct client interviews Thoroughly understands competitive products and strategy, and how they influence customer decisions. Discerns how value is defined and perceived by each client segment. Develop user forums and client feedback mechanisms to capture client sentiment. Develop Client User programs to gauge usability and intuitiveness of client experiences. Drives formulation of overall research/testing strategy and ensures product decisions are based on data. Gathers and analyze user analytics, page views and behavioral data. 4. Other Areas: Collaboration with product team to fully integrate product research into the product management lifecycle. Balances organizational needs with client needs informing strategic direction for the organization. Predict trends within customer segments. Establishes aggressive KPIs to measure success. Keep organization informed of market and market changes through regular reporting. Stay at the fore front of the latest developments and best practice approaches in product research. Stay current on new and leading-edge techniques and vendors. Knowledgeable of digital disruption and other leading-edge industry trends Generate deep insights to help grow existing business. Qualifications/Experience 10+ years working experience 7+ years experience in a product manager position with successful launches to market Experience conducting marketing research initiatives and analysis Experience managing competitive strategic product offering research and analysis studies Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products Previous experience with SaaS, Cloud solutions desired. Human Resources, Travel Risk and Security Mitigation industry experience a plus Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience) strongly preferred. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
