Human Resources Director of Employment

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Human Resources and will be responsible for providing direction in all areas of Employee Relations and Compliance while also providing consultative services to department managers and employees at all levels of the organization. This position may be responsible for up to 20% travel as needed. Responsibilities Implements human resources strategies and works as an HR partner with Executive and Upper Management in various HR areas, including employee relations, compliance, compensation, and training and development. Direct Employee Relations staff in case management and make adjustments to individual caseloads when necessary. Participate in investigations when appropriate. Provide oversight and management of employment related legal cases. Update VP of Human Resources and relevant department Vice Presidents on all matters of potential risk. Elevate matters and consult with legal counsel when necessary. Provide reasonable resolution reducing risk to company. Identify trends in ongoing Employee Relations issues and provide recommendations to Managers and Vice Presidents when appropriate. Direct activities concerning government and legal compliance as it related to Human Resources/Employment. Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and provide recommendations for companywide implementation. Directs the preparation and submission of all required regulatory reports (ie, EEO-1) to appropriate government agencies in a timely manner.  Provide consultative services to department managers, regional managers, and Vice Presidents on effective employee management techniques. Project management of various HR initiatives on an as needed basis. Coordinate and conduct training in the field on as needed bases in order to resolve issues at locations and provide managers with the Human Resources training that is necessary to manage employees and their locations effectively. Works collaboratively with Recruiting Manager and Director of Benefits in support of overall HR strategy and compliance. UpdateVP of Human Resources biweekly or as needed on all employee relations and compliance matters. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field; minimum of 5-10 years' experience managing various Human Resource functions. Working knowledge of Human Resources functions Experienceinvestigating employee relations complaints. PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Experience managing remote employees strongly preferred.   Required Skills: Excellent communication skills. Excellent organization skills. Excellent decision making skills. Working knowledge of Federal and State laws/regulations pertaining to employment, employee benefits, employee relations, etc. Ability to remain objective while conducting investigations. Excellent public speaking, writing and customer service skills are essential. Ability to keep all employee information strictly confidential. Ability to effectively and quickly complete tasks and assignments and meet deadlines. Ability to manage competing priorities. 2018-6245

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
