Human Resources Manager, Erie

Role Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will work closely with Operations leaders, Human Resources Managers, salaried employees, four Unions and the represented hourly workforce to achieve business objectives and promote positive Union relations.
Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
In addition, you will:
+ Provide advice and counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices
+ Establish and maintain excellent relationships with Union leadership
+ Administer and support all GE and GE Transportation HR policies and initiatives within the constituent plants
+ Be responsible for the administration of grievance procedure, negotiation of local contracts with constituent unions, and administration of collective bargaining agreements
+ Partner with business leaders on multiple human resource issues, including the following:
+ Policies, processes, and practices
+ Evaluation and development of employees and managing annual performance processes
+ Implementation of process improvement (Six Sigma / Lean), including leading change initiatives
+ Recruiting and pipeline development for hourly roles
+ Investigate and provide counsel / advice regarding concerns about contractual issues
+ Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities
+ Serve as an employee advocate and help drive various business initiatives
+ Establish, modify, and support local HR practices and policies as required
+ Responsible for investigations, conflict resolution, employee communications and management coaching
+ Bachelor?s degree from an accredited university or college in related area (or a high school graduate/GED or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant work experience)
+ Minimum 3 years prior professional work experience
Desired Characteristics:
+ HR experience in a unionized Manufacturing environment
+ Master's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred (MHR, MILR, MBA)
+ HRLP graduate (GE only)
+ Proven training ability
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
+ Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
