Senior Additive Metallurgist

The Senior Additive Metallurgist brings domain expertise and innovation to transform the heavy equipment market through the application of Additive Manufacturing (AM).
Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Senior Additive Metallurgist, you will:
? Select materials and process parameters for Additive Manufacturing designs of GET products including Large Medium Speed Diesel Engines for Locomotives, Marine & Stationary Applications, Electrical Traction Systems for Locomotives, Off-Highway and Propulsion Systems.
? Develop new process parameters for new materials or improved processing efficiency.
? Consult on material selection and post processing steps to achieve desired material properties.
? Define & document appropriate material review risk assessment & tollgate review process to ensure design rigor.
? Prepare invention disclosures to protect materials technology that gives the business a competitive advantage, as well as protect the intellectual property rights of the company.
? Provide coaching, mentoring, direction and training to new and experienced engineers, technicians and co-ops.
? Bachelor/Master?s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited university.
? At least 5 years relevant experience
? Deep knowledge of Additive Manufacturing, Powder Metallurgy, or Weld Metallurgy
? Strong fundamentals in fatigue & fracture mechanics, experimental stress analysis & their use in design of structural components.
? Experience in working with the following metals: stainless steels, Inconel, Copper, and Ferrous Metals.
Desired Characteristics:
? Advanced degree/major in Metallurgy or equivalent.
? Minimum of 5 years? experience in developing and analyzing materials for Additive Manufacturing.
? Experience in Additive Powder Bed Processes such as DMLM and Metal Binder Jetting.
? Deep domain knowledge of weld metallurgy and its further application to free form building and repair applications in Directed Energy Deposition (DED).
? Demonstrated experience in the influence of process parameters on material properties.
? Materials Laboratory skills such as SEM operation, optical microscopy, photography, etc.
? Good understanding of coupon testing and component life-cycle cost analysis, etc.
? Strong oral and written communication skills.
? Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
