The Director of Business Development will have a proven track record in building productive client relationships in the clinical research, health sciences and technology industries. The post holder will be able to achieve and maintain effective client relationships. Must be able to design and deliver powerful solution-driven capabilities and proposal defense presentations in collaboration with highly skilled clinical and operation personnel; create business opportunities through client needs identification and relationship building; proactively work with customer and project teams to resolve client concerns by helping to creating specific action plans that support the customer and the project team. Makes sales calls to prospective new clients to initiate new business relationships. Utilizes strategies and implements tactics to persuade prospective sponsors to contract with Bracket across identified solution categories (eCOA/Patient-centricity, Neuroscience Scientific Services, and Randomization and Clinical Supply Management Solutions). Coordinates the efforts for response to Requests for Proposals/Information. Represents Bracket at industry-related conferences and trade shows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
Prospecting for new opportunities with existing and prospective customers
Build compelling solutions, technology offerings and operational strategies that address client needs
Prepare and organize sponsor presentations
Develop account/territory strategies designed to acquire new customers and expand in existing emerging accounts.
Establish and maintain an excellent rapport with future and current clientele
Collect critical information for proposal preparation
Understand the proposal process and provide positive input
Negotiate and close/book sales opportunities
Monitor and track competitor activities
Plan and attend major industrial events and tradeshows
Ability to travel extensively
May or may not include mentoring/managing more junior business development staff
May or may not include management of Strategic Accounts
Do you have the right background for this job?
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher, with a strong preference for science disciplines
3-5 years of extensive knowledge in sales methods and practices
Knowledgeable in the drug development process preferably gained within a CRO, clinical technology company or similar
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and sales management software

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
