Position Overview:
As a critical member of our team, the Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the manufacturing/assembly production teams are prepared, equipped and reaching daily/weekly production targets.
Must be flexible and responsive while supporting employees and production goals.
Position Duties and
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of assembly line workers to achieve production goals.
Collaborate with Plant Leader to schedule and prioritize assembly tasks.
Ensure timely and efficient utilization of resources to meet daily production targets.
Continuously assess and improve assembly line processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Coordinate training for new employees in assembly and packing techniques required to assure consistent quality.
Enforce and promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
Communicates unexpected component shortages and schedule delays to Plant Leader.
Maintain open and effective communication with Plant Leader, Production Foreperson, Warehouse Supervisor and cross-functional teams.
Report production status, challenges, and achievements to Plant Leader.
Ensures that employees adhere to policies regarding the published Code of Conduct.
Performs numerous and varied clerical and analytical tasks as needed.
Additional duties as assigned.
Talents and Qualifications (Required):
The ability to communicate and interface with direct reports, supervisors and management in a professional and courteous manner.
Quality and detail oriented.
Proven customer service skills - ability to build and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bias towards continuous improvement and the ability to act as a change agent.
Capable of achieving results in a self-directed, self-motivated workplace.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Working knowledge of Sales Orders, Bills of Material and Pick Lists.
Comfortable and successful in a high paced, demanding environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Desire to learn, grow, change, and work as part of a team.
Supervisory/Management experience.
The ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities in an organized manner.
Physical Demands Able to bend, squat, twist, climb stairs and lift While performing the duties of this position the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, talk and hear with occasional bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling.
Regularly required to use hands to fingers.
Ability to occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 lbs.
